Six String Karma Bio
Forming a band was a natural and organic thing to do between two music-loving friends. The embryo of Six String Karma started when the two members realised after receiving a hugely positive response from playing numerous gigs at friends’ dinner parties that they could actually earn money doing what they loved, whilst also adding a unique, positive and memorable dimension to these dinner parties. Several gigs later and with a barrage of happy customers, the rest as they say is history….
We are very open minded about music and don't judge music per genre. If something sounds good, unique, evokes emotion, is musically tight, innovative and creative; then we like it!
A very small selection of our musical influences range from Jimi Hendrix, George Benson, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Gypsy Kings to Ben Folds, Slash, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Kirk Hammet, and Dave Matthews; as well as a hugely vast number of bands.

Spencer Varndell
With 16 years of guitar playing under my belt and having played Blues & Jazz in places as far a field as Boston, Bangkok, London and back here in Sydney, my style, influences and inspirations are taken from a variety of musical cultures. Packaged together I have developed a unique sound that can compliment any musical situation.
Si Muddell
To the detriment of my fingertips, I have been playing both acoustic and electric guitar for about 18 years, never faltering in my passion for playing and learning. I actively play in a number of bands around Sydney, have played in numerous bands in the UK as well as having previously played 1st and 2nd part Jazz trumpet for a brass band in London.
